Hi, guys!  Please report questionable ads in a reply to this thread.  Report questionable and potentially offensive ads and ads that scroll/talk/start playing without user interaction.  In your reply, please do your best to describe the ad and include a link to where the ad leads.

As of 07/08, we do have some non-crafty ads circulating, which you can read more about here:  http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=257602.0  Please only report the offensive ads.

I have notice at the last few weeks that is a lot of non craft related advertising appearing on craftster.  Most of them google adds,  But I have seen a lot of ads on computers, computer games,  Celebrity polls, a stupid What's your IQ add,  Animal rights,  weight loss,  and fitness just to name a few.

I thought the advertising on craftster was suppose to craft related.

I just wanted to give a heads up on an annoying flashing ad.  When I hover over it it's something like "yieldmanager"

Here's a screen shot:



There is a flashing yield sign on it that I couldn't catch (it's fast!) and this ad seems to have just started showing on my screen, always in the top right square ad.

Did you happen to mouse over it to see if there is a website address attached to it?

I did, but I didn't think to write it down.  It was really long, but it was something like:

www.yieldmanager.co m/ (bunch of numbers)

If I see it again I'll write it down and let you know!

i have seen it numerous times i just never paid any attention to it because i figured it was one of those stupid ads.

As an aside, I'm totally going to use this as a reason to tell my bf for spending the evening on Craftster tonight.  "Oh! They need me to track down this ad I saw, so I have to surf all over the site until I find it.  It's a chore, but what can you do? ... say, what do you think of this scarf?"

It might be a legitimate ad, but I'd like to see where it leads.  It doesn't seem like one of the ads we'd like to allow to keep appearing.

Ah, looks like I'm going to need another excuse, I just found another one:



And this time, about halfway through writing down the URL it occurred to me that I had a picture of it:



I don't know if it's a legitimate ad or not, but I find the ones that try to trick people into thinking they have a message or may have won something pretty annoying.
