Thanks guys,

I made the main frame from steel, i bent the steel by hand using a jig in a vice. I learned to weld! It's fun! I welded all the bits together. And then I used coloured perspex for the feathers. I used a jigsaw to cut them out and sanded them on the edges to look nice. I made the pond by cutting out a plywood base with a jigsaw and then i bent 3mm ply around the edges and nailed it on. I then had to fibreglass the whole thing so it was water tight. It was a crazy project. It took a lot of energy and thought. I hope it doesn't rust too, but I put many many layers of rust preventing paint on the steel before i attached the feathers. It'll make it last for a few years outside i hope!!
