I used Simplicity Pattern #0516 to make this costume! It is made of clearance fabrics!! Yay! Currently I am working on a king Louis XVI costume for my boyfriend...so I will show you that when I am done!

The rough draft /planning stage...

I liked the idea of these ready-made costumes I saw on ebay

I watched this movie for inspiration

Here is the progress of making it (sorry it is so small..this was from my blog)

And here is the finished dress!

As for accessories ...

got this at Halloween USA

got these thigh highs to go with it! Love the little bows up the back seam!

petticoat (from ebay)

bought this a long time ago at an antique shop

and I plan to wear my Irregular Choice shoes!

*edited to add more pictures* Smiley  PS Thank you everyone for the nice comments!

You did an awesome job, I love the combinations of fabrics.  And those shoes ROCK. To die for, darling!  You will really steal the show at any costume party, esp. if your boyfriend is gonna match.

Can't wait to see the costume in action! Things always look at least a little bit different when translated from a dressform to a real body, and it looks very promising!
