hey! I found this wonderful orginization that collects broken crayons from people and melts them down to give them to children with learning disabilities!  I figured with all us crafty ladies around we could find some crayons in the trenches of our crafting rooms to send!
Also, if you sign up with them im Sept they'll send you a free coloring book once they recieved your shipment of craons Smiley

Give a little, get a little!

heres the link

By the way, im in no way affiliated with them, I just found it and thought it was sweet.

Do you know if they have a Canadian/International affiliate? I went to sign up, but it seems I have to provide a state.

Any ideas?

I didn't look closely enough but was there a place to contact them and find out? Maybe start an international chapter?

I tried the "contact us" link, to no avail. Just kinda hoping someone somewhere knows of a group to which I can send my crayon stubs.

I don't know Sad
If nothing else, you could always mel them yourself in a cupcake pan and take them to a children's hospital Smiley

Thanks for sharing their link.  I just signed up.  We have tons of crayon stubs around my classroom and school.  We tried making some swirly crayons over the summer and it was more work than it was worth. So I'd love to be able to pass crayons on to a place that truly wants them. Smiley

I am becoming a teacher so I am currently observing a lot of classes...I will definitely share this with some teachers who have broken crayons.
