Omigosh, your son is sooo cute. Very Peter Pan-like. Smiley

The blanket is awesome. I'm bummed I was never able to figure out crochet. Never made sense to me. Sad

He's got such beautiful hair! Love the blanket. My aunt made one like that for me when I was born, and 22 years later, I still can't let go of it. Smiley

Oh how cute. I've been looking for a nice simple blanket pattern, and I think this might be the one.

You switched to dc instead of sc, but did you still crochet 122 rows?

How old is your son? His curly hair is adoooorable.

no i did 60 and a last row of sc but i ended up still having to mess with the very last row of the border (the one with the shell pattern) but for the most part things were fine. in the corners i did 1 dc 3 tr ch1 3 tr 1 dc. the directions are really the greatest but i do really like how it came out. if your used to winging things or editing patterns i'd say try it.

my son is 3 the blanket was pretty big i used a I (5.50mm) hook

Yeah I figured you did about half, that sounds right... I've been winging stuff forever, so I should be okay.

...but... well the pattern said a J hook with simply soft yarn, and I figured because I crochet super-tight and was using a baby-weight yarn, I'd use a K hook... and it's coming out so big! Undecided  Haha, oh well, the newborn I'm giving it to will be able to use it for a long time then, right?
