This is fantastic.  The boot itself is brilliant but then the idea to make the can into the witch's striped sock -- genius.

I am constantly amazed by the level of performance on this site.

That is quite amazing! It looks like there is a pringles can shaped thing inside the boot. Is that supposed to be a witch's leg or is it for some purpose? like holding flowers... evil flowers... you know the kind witches like.

...I had seen the once you pop swaps before, but never clicked them.  Because I thought they were for expectant mothers lol...

I never looked at it that was, but you're right!  It does sound that way!  Hehe

That is quite amazing! It looks like there is a pringles can shaped thing inside the boot. Is that supposed to be a witch's leg or is it for some purpose? like holding flowers... evil flowers... you know the kind witches like.

Yes, the Pringle's can is suppose to resemble a witch's stereotypical striped sock at the top.  In this case I imagine this witch has a hollow leg for hiding her secret potions and charms when traveling to make it through customs.  Grin  When you pull the can out it is a poision bottle with a warning label.  There are pics of the label on my blog and the whole can pic is in the swap gallery.  Silly me, I forgot to take a pic of the can out of the boot.

Thanks everyone for the kind comments.  I really enjoyed working on this swap.  It was my very first, but I've been a crafter since I could hold a crayon.  Smiley  And, paper mache has to be one of the easiest and cheapest mediums to work in.

Keep the comments coming.  I'm lovin' that others appreciate my work.

this is insanely awesome. how did you get the shape of the boot to come out so well? Grin

The only trick I can think of is wrapping the Pringles can with wax paper so the paste wouldn't stick to it.

I used a high heeled boot of mine and many online pics as references.  I decided to trace a flat heeled shoe, redraw the back heel to the size of the can before cutting and bent the "sole" into an "s" shape to add the toilet paper tube heel.  I taped the can to the sole and wrapped with the cereal box and paper mache clumps.  Balancing the can on the heel was the hardest part!  After I managed that, I let it dry and taped loose paper balls and a twisted piece to make the toe.  I used quite a bit of masking tape to get the shape right before paper maching it.  You can't put your foot in it.  The toe is solid.  Hope all this anwers you question.  Smiley  Probably more info than you wanted, huh.

If anyone attempts to make one, I'd love to see it.

this is pretty cool !..  would you stuff it with anything? like candy?

This boot was for a swap where we had to fill the Pringles can with crafted items.  I just made nonliquid items.  Although, I believe reading that another swapper was trying to send liquor to their partner.  Smiley  A bottle WOULD fit nicely in the can.

Maybe the new owner of this boot will use it for her Halloween candy.  I can just imagine her answering the door and letting trick-or-treating kids dig in her boot for candy.  LOL  Smiley That would be a sight to see!  Pheww!  Stinky!  Hehe

If you want to check out the rest of the swap items, the links to the other items are in my first post.
