Personally I like the mushroom where it is, it look like it's sprouting out o the grass.  I think it's perfect!  And I also guess "Target" for the mushoom's pattern.  Wink

Ding! Ding!  You're both right!

I'm looking at bags in a whole new light these days!

Hi twistmysister & avocadokiwi!

We made this by fusing plastic bags.  Here are some links that tell how to do it,

I really like this video:
http://www.makezine.com/blog/archive/2007/06/make_a_messenger_bag_out_1.html

Once I saw that video, I knew that I HAD to try making something with fused bags.

Then, I bought a five piece set of luggage and each bag was in a large, clear plastic baggie.  I saved all of these.   My daughter and I brainstormed some ideas and she suggested a coin purse with a fused mushroom.

We fused a few Target bags and then fused some brown bags and a yellow Dollar General bag.

Then we cut out the mushroom and the sun, she drew the cute faces on them with a sharpie.

I dont remember whose idea it was to use the easter grass, but I was disappointed that it didnt melt that much.  That part of the purse is a little weak.  I think if we had used less, it would be better.

The words around the sun are from a bread bag, we cut them out.

We layered eight layers of the clear plastic and arranged the mushroom, etc under the top two layers and then ironed them between some parchment paper.

We finished with a long piece approx:  6 inches wide by 15 inches long.  Then we folded up the bottom six inches and zig-zagged the sides to make a pocket.  Then we folded down the top three inches for the flap, the flap has a snap on it to hold it closed.

Yikes!  I typed more than I intended!!  But you DID ask how we made them!!    Tongue
