Not sure what happened to the original post!  I'm modifying.

I angeled for Kitten Wrangler in the latest OTT swap.  We picked 5 themes and crafted one tiny thing (under 4 inches) for one of the themes.

I picked two of Kitten's themes, Robots and Martroyshka (nesting dolls) and combined them for Robotroyshka!

I started with Ana Paula Rimoli's nesting dolls pattern and lept off from there.  (She has great patterns on etsy, Anapaulaoli).

If you want to see more photos check out the swap gallery here:

I think Kitten Wrangler liked them!

Whoah! They're so adorable! I saw them yesterday in the swap gallery and I drooled over them! What a phantastic idea. And you really gave them unique and cute designs. I so need to make these! Thanks for the inspiration. You are a wonderful swap angel. Two wists in one tiny thing, your beangeled Kitten Wrangler must be so happy!

Those are brillient.  I think I need to make some non-traditional nesting dolls... I see the crew of the enterprise in my future, but really I don't think anythign is cooler than robots  Wink

Hi RhymeswOrange, I just wanted to add that I hope you didn't take offense when I said I'd make me some robots too. I don't mean to steal your idea entirely. I won't make exact copies, I want a different robot design (different colors and no felt), but of course, they'd still be matryoshka robots. Please tell me if you don't want me to do that, I have a long enough project list (thanks to craftster Smiley ) to happily make something else.

No worries Ruby!   I was just so stinkin' pleased with myself for putting the ideas together I wanted to share.  I haven't cornered the market on robot nesting dolls.  You know what they say "Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery".  I would love to see your robots too.
