I just got a sewing machine for my birthday this july and I made my first three projects! Take a look, what do you think? I've made some errors and it is pretty messy if you look closely, but i'm really proud of my work! I hope to get better as i practice making more stuff Smiley I'm away at college so these projects took forever to do in between my homework and stuff but thank you crafster folks for your awesome tutorials! I couldn't have done any of this without them Smiley

my very first pouch, done with help by a tutorial on craftster!:

I actually printed out a picture of pandas online and then i cut it out and traced it on felt. The entire panda shape is black and i cut out the white pieces and placed it on top. I hand sewed all the pictures on the front. However the cat/dog and cupcakes were my own drawings.

I really love doing stuff with paper like decorations and scrapbook kinda decor. I was browsing the crafter.org for craft ideas and i saw a lot of awesome sewing/fabric creations so i decided to give a try to sewing. I looked through all the totebags I currently own and combined the features I wanted most in a totebag and created my own! It's really not that hard and tutorials helped ALOT. So yes, there are my first sewing projects. I like a challenge and I hope I can make better things in the future when i find time! A lot of midterms are coming up so it'll be a while until i make more!

???But i do have a question though! How do you do embroidery? Is it possibly with a machine or do you have to do it by hand? I had to write word love onto the pouch and then slowly stitch it on by hand. But i've seen other projects where its a lot more elaborate and I wonder if all those are done by hand or if there's an easier way to do it? sorry im a newb!! Smiley
