Kind of! Sort of! I used the backstitch idea but did it in squares and columns of squares instead of lines. If that makes sense! That's how I did the arms, legs, and tail. For the head and body, the start point was the center of the web- I came up there, and then stitched back down at the end of the web line. I did a bunch of those, and then connected them all, making stitches like a ladder up every 2 sets of web lines. This anchored every spot down where the threads cross. That probably didn't make any sense at all, sorry! If you want, I can try to explain better!

I'm a diehard Spider-Man fan who's really sad the comics I love (they're really badly written right now, it's kind of pathetic), but the fans and the folks who craft for them make things better. *sniffs, hugs*

But seriously, this is so well done. I don't even like sock monkeys normally and I still adore this. He's so cuddly and yet ready for action! And your attention to detail really makes it work.
