I love everything!  The perler coasters, the shirt, the scarf, and the handkerchiefs all rock.  Smiley

And we are finished!  Everyone has received and everyone has feedback!  Smiley  Thank you all for a great swap... feel free to stick around and leave comments in the gallery about all the lovely more recent packages if you'd like!

...wish i knew how to crochet!

I <3 crochet, I tried and tried to knit, and I knit so tight I couldn't get past three or so rows, so I put it down. Then, I read a few times people said they'd learned to knit much easier after first learning to crochet, so I decided to try that, I got it on the first try, and haven't even bothered to pick up my knitting needles again. I really liked the Instant Expert: Crochet book, http://www.amazon.com/Instant-Expert-Crochet-Thunder-Press/dp/1592237088, because it had photos instead of drawings. Good luck if you try it!

I used to knit SO tightly too, to the point where I quit knitting for a few years. I found that using wool instead of acrylic helps a LOT. It's natural, so it has more give than synthetic. I also refuse to use metal needles anymore. I love bamboo needles now, they are a little more costly, but SO worth it!

www.marymaxim.com is a good site for getting bamboo needles that are a little cheaper than the ones you might find at your LYS.

Off topic, but still crafty, I guess it counts, right? Wink

Ah, I do have a teeny bit of wool I should try then. I mostly like cotton, and it turns out everything else I have is acrylic, I was surprised when I started checking.

I am up for a personal swap!
