Anyone here currently sell stuff for resale to local stores? I've been considering hitting up some stores in carytown (Richmond) to see if they'd be willing to carry some of my earrings.

Is there etiquitte for this? Should I call ahead? Should I just stop in?
I know that I should have samples with me, and a list of wholesale prices, and a business card. What else?

My roomate works in carytown, and she suggested just stopping in, since everyone in carytown is pretty nice (at least the store owners are).

Suggestions? What about shockhoe?

It's always good to call first, and inquire. Ask if you can bring in some samples. Carytown is good, but there are other great shops around town like Libby and Grove and South too. Good luck. Make sure you are bringing your most unique items as the market can be overrun.

Thanks! Libby and Grove and south... that's..... ok where is that?

I stopped into Urban Artifacts in Carytown today with some origami earrings, and they took 6 pairs on a consignment basis! Hooray!

I think I'll get some more stuff together and hit up some stores that cater to an older demographic next.

Yaaaaaaaaaaay!
