I'm lagging way behind the fad, but that's fine with my Poppet. Meet Bronwyn!

I stuck to the original pattern as closely as possible -- minus girly sculpting -- and she turned out so very well. It's funny how she really does have a personality and everything. The Poppeteers Who Came Before weren't kidding. Bronwyn specifically is just zen, very cool. She doesn't care about pleasing the people or keeping up with trends or being cool, which is, of course, what makes her cool. We did have a tiny tiff to begin with as she told me her real name and immediately made me promise not to tell the world. Fairy superstition and everything. So we picked "Bronwyn" together, and I think we're both satisfied.

It took me a couple days to cobble together clothes and, wow, they're rough, but they cover her nekkidness, and introduced me to the crafting-drug that is/ will be doll clothes.

Halter top and "boxers" and headband (probably can't see it that well) made from a flannel sheet that says "Boys Are Smelly."

A pair of boy shorts made from an old Tshirt of my husband's. It's my favorite piece, and I can't wait to make more little teeny underpants!

Thanks to Ghilie for her generosity in sharing her pattern! And to the awesome Poppeteers in the Poppet Craft-a-long!

I've yet to make a poppet...but really want to!

Ghilie is so generous for sharing!

Your poppet is lovely!

The blue fabric in the outfit brings out the color of her eyes & I love the texture of the hair!

Great name too! Wink

OK that's it. I have to make a poppet too. Maybe we can make a club for sorry-we're-late poppeteers? Wink

Bronwyn is adorable. If I knew her I think we'd get along - she's my type of friend Smiley.

Lovely new poppet. I love the black hair and blue eyes. And the blue clothes.

Did you add a link to this post on the Poppet-along?

I don't think there is any such thing as late poppetteers. A year from now you will realize you were ahead of the crowd.

I love her boy shorts, and the first outfit is super cute! She sort of has an oriental aspect to her first outfit. but that could just be me. However it sort of goes with the 'ZEN' feel. Smiley
She's super cute!
