Evil, but in a good way

I made this for my swap partner in Disney rnd 8.  I printed out coloring book pages and pics from the movie and taped them to the box.  I then took a pen and traced thru the paper so the lines were 'etched' into the wood.  From there I just painted it like it was a coloring book.  The poem is in my own handwriting.

The top one is before I decided to outline everything.  I'm glad i was talked into outlining, it really made everything pop.

Left side of the box (Tugley Woods creatures)

Right side of the box (more Tugley Woods creatures).  Smeared because you probably shouldn't use Sharpie to outline when you're using a spray-on finish  Undecided

Front of the box with the caterpillar and one of his poems.  The poem is smeared because it was written in sharpie, but I think it added to the silliness of the poem.

My swap partner (and her hubby) loved it.  What do you think?

The box looks wonderful.  The outlining really does bring the picture out.

I love this!  My 6 year old granddaughter loves Disney princesses so I will be using this idea to create something for her soon; and you're right, the outlining does make it pop!
