Whoa! I'm back, finally
I was on the verge of a major craftster withdrawl  Lips sealed
Needless to say, I've been busy, mostly with big projects that aren't even finished.
Here's a small project that I finished in two short evenings

It's the Luxe Neck Warmer from the book Knit 2 Together by Tracey Ullman and Mel Clark

I made the mistake of using Red Heart from my stash
Surprise surprise, it's rough  Cry

You tuck it into a coat like this, right?

I will make it again veerry soon
Next time in a softer yarn

My experience has been that Red Heart softens up once you wash it.  I haven't had issues yet (and I hope they don't start since I am making a blanket with Red Heart Shocked)

Your neck warmer is really beautiful.

I'm sorry about the scratchy roughness but it looks good!

I've really wanted to make one of these.  It looks nice!  I'd want to add some buttons though so I won't get it stuck on my head every time I have to take it off.  Good job!

so cute.  and yeah, i made my first scarf years ago out of red heart, not really knowing much about fibers and such.  it was super rough at first, but totally softened up over time.  also stretched a lot, but that might me the pattern, not sure.

Sweet! Thanks for commenting   Cheesy

Good idea! I'll try washing it and see what happens
I've heard that it does soften after washing
