So, this is my first  (marshmallow) fondant cake- a joint effort between me and my friend Whitney. It turned out SO much better than I ever thought it would! Believe it or not, a lot of work goes into these things!!

The spots you see of BRIGHT pink around the bottom of the cake are where I piped pink and brown buttercream and the colors were so off that I just wiped it right back off and got some chocolate fudge icing and piped that instead (my whole family said they looked like hershey kisses) - that looked a TON better, but you can still see where the pink was before.

We used cookie cutters for the pink flowers, the end of a pen cap for the brown dots, and star and round tips for the rest.

Made for my grandmother's 65th birthday gathering and she was BLOWN AWAY! Nobody could believe it was handmade- we don't see fondant much around here unless it's on a wedding cake!

I used a modified boxed cake recipe, using a can of sprite and a box of vanilla pudding to make it super moist. Tasted better than it looked!

Let me know what you think!

Hey guys! I used these ingredients, mixed together at medium speed with a mixer and poured into a greased 9x13 pan. Cook at 350 degrees for about 35 minutes.

1 box cake mix
3/4 cup vegetable oil
4 eggs
1 (3 oz) box instant vanilla pudding
1 mini can of sprite (the 8 oz one)

It turns out SO moist, and it held the fondant really well. I used yellow cake mix but I'm sure any kind would work.

Let me know if you try it out!
