This project really proved to me that Lion Brand Fishermen's Wool (dyed with koolaid) felts like *crazy*.

Here's the igloo, pre felt. There's a plastic lid in the bottom to help it stand, and it's about 6 inches in diameter.

Here's the igloo postfelt, with a penny to show how unbelievably small it got!

And here's rat approval. She'll grow out of it eventually I'm sure.

So cool!  AND informative since LB Fisherman's is what I figured would be my first kool-aid dying experiment too.

I'd heard feedback that felting made kool-aid dye run or fade, and yours looks fantastic!  I'd love more info about the whole dying and then felting process....

Your rat looks super cozy!

Those are the cutest! (Rat and igloo) Smiley A tutorial would be loved, I'm sure. I could also see a larger size for chihuahuas... Great work!

That is too cute!  I would love to see a pattern, pretty pretty please with a cherry on top!

You should submit it for Debbie Stoller's crochet book.
