I've been slaving away all evening and have managed to do michelleames and teachingjonahs's dolls! they are so totally different..I hope I've gauged your taste correctly - to give a vague clue, one is very bright and the other uses the love of the golden compass/slightly fairytale/mystical style....

Exciting! I finally decided what to do for my group. I hope they work well! Smiley

I've never made a Dotee before, and thought it would be so-o-o easy.  I finally have a few ideas running around in my head.  Now to execute them.  I hope I can get them to look as well in real life as they do in my head.

I am running to Joann's as I need more fabric... well actually I don't need it... I want it. Also HUGE sale with many coupons. So I have to go... no other choice. LOL

Heck yeah! 99 cents for fat quarters and quarter flats... I stocked up yesterday! DMC floss is 4 for a dollar  Grin

Which Joann's do you go to, Razor? I think the closest to my 'hood is Kenessaw Tongue

Cheesy Yep, that is the one I go to. That one is the closest to me also... Though the Michaels in Kennesaw sucks, the one in Rome is 10 times better than the one in Kennesaw and Acworth combined. Anyway, Joann is having crazy sales through the 25th It is worth checking out. I'll be going back next paycheck for sure  Grin probably not that one because I am going to check out The Coffee Shop of Horrors in Gainesville so I can get some goodies for another swap. The flier they gave me at Joann's said it is for the 19th-25th but the stuff from the flier already was put on sale and had the little sale taggies when I went Friday night. All I have here in Cartersville is Hobby Lobby  Roll Eyes the only reason I go there is for felt because they sell it the cheapest, other than that I don't care for it much... It's pretty bad when you have to go out of town to find a decent fabric store or anything else for that matter. Now that I have written a book...I am done I promise  Cheesy

Do you know of any craft groups? I have been here for 3 years and still have yet to meet crafty friends  Cry I am so lonely and the boy isn't much fun to go craft shopping with.

Not complaining about lack of craft stores, just having to go to 3 different cities to find what I need  Cheesy.

I don't have to go to that many stores usually, however... when I am on the hunt for specifics I end up traveling 2 hours from home to find what I want.  When I want something I am a determined shopper  Grin

Oh Razor, the best Michael's is in Hiram! There's is so huge! Rome's Michael's is pretty sweet and I'm guaranteed to be seen there at least 2 or 3 nights out of the week, especially since they just expanded their yarn section Cheesy There's a nice Hancock Fabrics out in west Rome (they have like 4 times the amount of Halloween fabric as Wal-Mart, crazy!). I like Hobby Lobby but they have too much decorating stuff which makes me distracted Tongue

On the topic of craft groups, there are none that I can find Embarrassed I'm moving to Atlanta soon or I would help start one for all us lonely crafters in NW Georgia Cheesy

I do feel bad for you UK'ers though! I've heard about your lack of stores from a few swappers.

We have many choices when it comes to craft stores here in the Pacfic Northwest. Although one of the things that I miss about the midwest is the fact they have hobby lobbies. I miss that so much. I am very fortunate to have a wonderful local quilting store that has a eye for the best fabrics available. The only problem is the fact that she only orders one bolt and that is it. Sad
