My mum has always, ALWAYS, made a HUGE deal about me keeping my magazines. I don't have the heart to throw out all my Alternative Press, Spin, Rolling Stone, Vogue (Teen Vogue too), Elle, Craft Magazine(s), juxtapoz and Bust. [on off-topic note: I know I have a lot of magazines, I like to read] So finally got my lazy ass and made the bag from this tut: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=45643.0

The grey border killed it, but I was too excited/impatient to find the black duct tape.
The handles were from those belts from those grade school jeans that come with the belts.
It holds thing pretty well.
It holds 2 textbooks and a binder




sorry. I love these pictures. I arranged it so that my dark shoes would pop out with brighter magazine papers and the magazine bag to be on the side with darker magazine bags.

WOW, have you been in my closet, going thru my old magazines! You sound just like me, I have old art and music magazines dating back to '93. I keep them around for all my mixed media projects. This bag is awesome, and yes kind of an eyesore, but I too <3 slightly ugly/tacky things. Great way to recycle!

That is cool. I'm not much on duct tape, but this is interesting. I also have a ton of magazines in my room. I don't have the heart to throw them away, thinking "some day I'll use them." Which I will...some day.

thats cool! I want to make one, did you know they sell colored duct tape at the craft stores? like black, red, hot pink,blue,orange,ETC...

tigrisgalaxy- I'm possibly the worst packrat for magazine. My garage has a cabinet filled with them because I think that I might need them some day.
