I went on a 10 day long road trip with my brother to help him move across the country at the end of August. When I got back home, I was having some serious sewing withdrawal.  Luckily, I was inspired by the approaching Halloween season!

bleached skeleton wiggle dress:
This is by far my best bleached skelly, yet.  And I guess it should be, I spent at least 2 hours bleaching that skeleton, making sure it was anatomically correct, and all!

blood spattered gauze corset top:
Blood spattering is fun. I had planned on doing it outside, but it rained for 3 days straight, so I covered one of my dressforms with a garbage bag, put the top over it, and splattered in the bathtub. It was very Psycho.  Cheesy

zombie rags and ruffles circle skirt:
This one was sort of Corpse Bride inspired. Yards and yards of different meshes all layered on top of one another.  I was actually going to put the blood spattered top and this skirt together as a dress at first, but once I finished the skirt, I decided I liked them better separate.

I have tutorials here:

They are all so good!  I know this is going to sound weird, but I love how they're spooky in such pretty ways.
As far as something to go with the circle skirt goes, I really like the way that black and white plaid looks with in the last picture...I don't know diddly squat about what goes with what, but I think a little jacket or bag made from that would be killer paired with the skirt.
