I made this at the start of the year, the first wearable item of clothing I've ever made. I've only just got round to taking photos of it  Tongue
And please excuse my squinty, tired face, I've been at school all day...

Fabric:

The front:

The back:

I can't remember what pattern it was, I'll check later, but it was really simple Smiley

Pattern is by Simplicity, number 3539
My scanner is "having a day off", so here's a crappy phone picture:

It's really quite old - If you look on ebay, alot of old simplicity patterns have the same skirt-part, so you'd just need to figure out the top, I guess Smiley

I really like this dress-I've been looking for this kind of fabric for a while after seeing a cute nautical dress online.

Well done-I like the back of it aswell. It suits you even with your squinty eyes  Grin

Ahh thankyou!

WEll, I went to the shop, and since it was my first dress, I asked the guy where the cheapest materials were - that particular material was 1.99(pounds) a metre

Super cute! I would love to know the pattern number so I could make myself one of those.

You're lucky-the bargain section in my local haberdashery shop is awful. The nicer prints are tres expensive!

I've seen a nautical themed dress on Ebay and I love it.
