Just another idea to throw out there for folks looking for costume ideas. This was last years big hit. Our oldest came up with the idea of being a peacock. My husband was able to figure out a way to make her tail actually work.
She had two strings that went under her arms and down her sleeves. When she pulled them the tail would come up and fan out and when she let them go her tail would fall back down again.
It was too much fun. I however did not have a pattern of any kind so pretty much worked through the night before Hallween to fix the bits that needed revamping.
The only thing we actually paid for was the feathers. Everything else for the entire costume was scrounged at a recycle center or from curtains and things I had at home.
Enjoy and thanks for looking.

Thanks guys, she was thrilled with it and that was the pay off. The only problem is now she thinks we can do anything. This year she wants to be a dragon. Shocked
Hubby says he is going to take it on so be watching for the pictures.
Hope everyone has a wonderful Fall !!!
