So, today started out a bit stressful, and as I'm sure most of you know, the best way to beat stress is to make something fun.

So I took an old wall hanging that I had found (someone threw it into a dumpster, I rescued it and washed it several times) that had a few holes in it here and there, and that I no longer felt like hanging up on the wall..

and hung it on me Cheesy

No pattern- the design is basically an A shape with the top chopped off, then fitted slightly at the back with pleats. Then I made and added straps, et voila!
Now I have something to wear when I'm fresh from the shower, or lazy and warm, or sleepy and warm.
I might at some point dye it a darker purple, we shall see.

Thanks for looking!

Links do not work for me either..

I thought normally if it's a file//// that that's for internal use only?  External users computer's won't know where to get the file from... they need a web address.

I don't know why it's letting me post pics, since this is only my 2nd post- but I'm not complaining Tongue

This is awesome!

I totally wish I found some amazingly cool wall hanging (this was a wall hanging?? lol) to make into a dress!

I love how the design works perfectly with the dress... does that make sense?

Yep, it's a wall hanging. I'd imagine you could use sheets, too, if you found ones with a nice pattern. But you may need to make a slip to go under it if the sheets are thin. And, thanks! I made sure when I cut it that it the pattern would be just so- I thought the pattern was perfect for it, too Smiley

Good idea, and looks comfy. I have one of these I brought back from Nepal, but it got ripped. Needs to be something wearable, obviously. Thanks for the inspiration! Oh, and I love your avatar.  Wink

Thanks Vindi, and Feast Your Eyes, I do like it a lot. It's comfortable just out of the shower especially. We have at least one store in Madison, wi that sells them as wall hangings, but I haven't felt them up to see if they're worth the price for the fabric. The Joanne's here has a really good selection of sari fabric, so I might have to buy some of that next.

And I love my avatar too *winks back, then runs off to do some Magic Dancing*
