To begin, I must confess a love of gnomery. It started with a classy gnome named Atticus, and has morphed into multiple gnome figurines, plant stakes, plates, books, stickers... It's too big for me to stop now.

Anywhoo, a while back I discovered a funky unfinished 2 tier side table at a garage sale. It sat in my garage, waiting for inspiration to strike. After several months, I finally realized... TOADSTOOLS!

Unfortunately I didn't take any before pictures. Just imagine it not painted:

My gnomes approve!:

*Atticus is the big guy in the back, wearing glasses, soooo pensive!

I know this paint treatment has been done by several crafters before, but I just thought it complimented the tables funky shape.

This is so cute!  My husband would be in gnome heaven right now.  Such an adorable little idea.  Great job.

What a great table!!
I love it...I secretly love gnomes too!!
There's a great bit in the British comedy movie "The Baker" where two neighbors in a very small village are in competition all the time for the best garden. One has a love of gnomes and the other a love of tulips...I'd go on but I just think you should see it Wink

This is super cute, and I love the colors. It's a perfect toadstool shape! Where will you keep it in your home now? Hopefully somewhere that everyone can admire!

I'm planning on using it as a bedside table.

(Probably with only one gnome on it. Seeing them all together makes me feel a little crazy Tongue)
