There are links here both to suppliers and, if you go down a little ways, general information on essential oils. In general for essential oils I would definitely encourage you to order online than buy from a health food store or something...they rip you off really badly! For starting out you might do ok with buying fragrance oils from a craft store, they will be expensive but until you are sure you want to continue it isn't too bad of a price.

Well yes and no.  You need to use only fragrance oils that are labelled skin safe or bath and body safe. Potpourri fragrance oil is not ok, and candle making fragrance oils aren't necesarrily ok. And you need to check warnings on essential oils. Some are unsafe for a variety of reasons--can cause burning if you use too much or are unsafe for pregnant women etc, etc.

If it turned out great why would you rebatch it? Are you making M&P or CP?

Makes sense. You can shred it and rebatch it now. Make sure you wear gloves because it is still a little caustic and will irritate your hands. It will probably be soft and a little sticky. You also shouldn't need to add any water. Most rebatch recipes are for cured soap which has less water in it. Congrats on your first batch. Good luck!
