I won I won I won I won I won!
check out my new pics at the bottom of the post.

I decided to enter this year's county fair with some kind of crochet project.  After weeks of indecision i decided on the "Cluster stitch doily" antique pattern on the Celt's Crochet website...
It turned out to be huge!!  It's about 24" in diameter:

Here's a closeup:

On my ironing board, for size reference (it's an extra-large board about half again as large as a standard board:

Hope you like it!

ETA: I won first place in my category!!!   Cheesy  My first blue ribbon!!!  Cheesy

also if you check my gallery you can see the 2nd and 3rd place winners - very pretty also!

This piece is so gorgeous! I have a large doily that someone made us for our wedding. I'm constantly taking it back from my little boys who insist that it's a spider web. There's no way they'd get their little grubby hands on this one if I owned it! It should be framed!

it's so filmy and delicate! I assume you've made these before, right? How long did this take you?
