Hey everyone!

This is an amalgamation of lots of different threads that have popped up over the years.  Therefore, it's going to be a little disjointed and a bit repetetive, however, I felt it necessary to get everything in one place! You can see a good overview of ideas here: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=152817.0#axzz2SwVZguXN

you can join the mailing lists for Appel and Frank: http://www.appelandfrank.com/

And Feria Urbana: http://www.feriaurbanasf.com/about.html

Both have monthly craft fairs in San Francisco which are a lot of fun. They both cost around $100 for a table. I'm doing the A&F one in March.

Fashion Co-op is mainly LA, but I think they sometimes do SF shows: http://www.fashioncoop.com/events.html

Brand new to this site.  Creating handmade gifts for baby/home and want to start first by selling at holiday bazaars before I go retail & website.  Having a hard time findind list of local bazaars.  I can't tell if I'm on the Oregon craftster site or not but looking for bazaars around Portland, OR.  Any suggestions?

The smaller, local holiday bazaars can be hard to find.  They often don't make it to the Internet.  When it gets closer to the holiday season, keep your eyes peeled--check local newspapers and any public bulletin boards (real ones, not online) for notices.  This is how I got jump-started last year (I started selling at fairs in November, meaning I didn't even start looking for them until then; and I still wound up being able to do a decent amount of 'em).

Good luck!!  Smiley

Here is the $100,000 question: where are the URBAN,ALTERNATIVE,HIPSTER craft fairs..or music festivals...or gatherings? The thing is- I make body jewelry- you know, for folks with piercings.. I won't sell at a fair where my nieghbor is selling lavender stuffed teddy bears or tea cozies. All the festival lists I have looked at pretty much only advertise these events- where a middle america white-bread client is going to go to shop for dolls, handbags, stained glass, potpurri, and landscape oil paintings. Does anyone have ANY advice about where the freaks go to find cool stuff?

i'm not sure where you're located, but i know that a lot of folks here go to the one of a kind show that they have twice annually in toronto... there's usually a lot of funky jewellery, clothing, purse boothes... drawback is it is VERY expensive to get a booth... they do have a deal for first time applicants with less than 3 years professional experience, $495 for the whole time, which is about $45 a day... rest of the prices are above $1000 :
