You could easily wear it for prom, Christmas, New Years anything festive.
My son is 17 and there girls wore dresses similar to their last semi formal (alot wore less tasteful dresses but we wont go there!)

I hope you are going into a field where design or clothing construction is a good part of the job. You executed the project very professionally. I made my senior prom dress- wayyyy back when and didn't do half as well as you did-maybe it was the spaghetti straps and the big hair that was the problem! lol

Great job, keep sewing!

Ab-so-lutely gorgeous! Grin What is the fabric? Is the gold embroidered on or is that an over layer?

That would be a fantastic new years dress, or prom dress too. it's really a lovely dress, you did a great job with the craftmanship and color selection. You could even wear it to another night wedding. it's a really nice dress.

You did a fabulous job!  Great color, great style, pretty shoes, cute hair - the whole ensemble is on point.
Unsolicited advice of the day:  Make another dress of the same pattern in a cotton print and wear it with a cardigan for more casual look.

i'm accually planning on going to college next year for fashion design! so thank you!

the fabric was 3 yards of remnants (weird, i know) and the gold design was bought already embroidered on the fabric. it was originally $75 (so much! Shocked) but it was discounted to $35. i got real lucky on that one.
