I've been wanting to make one of these for years and I finally got to! When I saw this table I knew I had found a perfect match for my stop sign.

Before:

The stop sign is about 2 and a half ft wide.

After:

I covered the sign with a layer of clear contact paper so it's nicer to work/eat on.

Nice. That's way more creative than what our fraternity friends think of: 'Dude, just hang it on the wall.'

I'm totally wishing I kept one of the many signs/traffic barrels I stole in my delinquent youth to make one of these... that's really fantastic.

That's awesome! I wish I could find a way to flatten the metal sign I have to do something like that with it.

Wow!  What the perfect table for the sign!  Love the bottom of the table, also, and how it curves!

I need to do this with a campground sign I have! Does the contact paper make it so things can't fall through the holes? Lame question, but I'm not familiar with it!

Thanks everyone!
I've had the sign forever and don't remember how I got it.

Yep, with the contact paper the holes are covered and things cannot fall through. However I mainly put it on so that the surface would be smooth. Contact paper is just vinyl that is sticky on the back. Its kind of like those clear sticky book covers you may have used in elementary school or wallpaper.
