Hey everybody! This is my first time posting in this part of craftster. I'm taking a class about leadership in high school right now, and our final project will be something that we plan and organise. i was thinking about doing a bunch of preemie things, like sleepers, hats, mittens, booties, and blankets, and donating them to the hospitals. i was hoping that you guys could assist me with finding free patterns. i'd really appreciate it, because i can't afford to jsut go buy patterns as well as supplies. i'm also planning to do some form of fundraiser to help with this, i'll get donations and such to supply for this cause. but that will be within my community.. any helpful tips or patterns you can give me would be greatly appreciated Smiley

My sister and I were both preemies back in the late 70's early 80's, back then you couldn't find preemies things or patterns, so my mom and relatives made the clothes by trail and error. Now I have even seen preemie sections in some baby stores. there are alot of patterns online as well.
Here is a size chart that might help you: http://www.newbornsinneed.org/html/size_chart.html

here are some patterns:
preemie sleeper size 4-6lbs (I guess for when they go home) http://www.touchinglittlelives.org/prsleeper.html

I found these other  website that list LOTS preemie patterns for Knitting, Crocheting and sewing;

Let me know if you need anymore websites, and I will look for more.
