I am 27 weeks pregnant and decided that my XL tees needed a more feminine look. So here are my firts projects, nothing fancy but a lot of fun!

mmusickangel21205, to make the flower: you make a spiral cut, then you gather one edge and sew the center on to the garment.

those are great! could you explain how you did the side ties on the first one? i think i understand, but i'd really rather not butcher a great t-shirt trying to figure it out... thanks in advance!

whimsy10510 , to make the drawstring casing, you need to alter the sides like this: Turn the tee inside out. Cut vertically up each side, from the bottom to the armhole. Then sew the cut edges together again using a straight stitch 1 " from the side, the inside of the tee still facing you. Pin flat the seam allowance and sew along the outer edges to create 2 "tubes". Thread one string up one tube and down the other one. Turn the tee right side out and pull  the 2 ends of the drawstrings. Done!
