I love Halloween. I love spiders. So here are some new beaded spider necklaces to commemorate both of those loves! They are all about 2 inches in height by 1 inch in width which is smaller than the usual ones I make (about 4 inches by 2 inches). I've tried to improve on my design a little to make them a little closer to anatomical correctness by adding beads (or bent wire) to mark the pedipalps (mouth parts). What do you think? I call them "Itsy bitsy spiders."

I'm very afraid spiders. But, I think that these necklaces are very pretty. I would totally wear on for halloween.

Two many projects and ideas, but not enough time.

Those are absolutely amazing!  I am in awe!

I don't mind spiders (as long as they don't have fur - spiders should NOT have fur), and I think these are beautiful.  They are too pretty to be just for Halloween.  Very nicely done!

Those are really beautiful - I think you did a great job on your "anatomical correctness" - in fact, my grown and almost grown daughters are ridiculously scared of spiders - these look so real that I bet they'd creep them out! Grin

They aren't just for Halloween! I wear them all year long. Cheesy
These were just inspired by the holiday which is quickly approaching!

On the hairy spider: I touched my first taratunla this summer and it was oddly soft. Softer than my cat! I couldn't help but keep petting it's legs. It was oddly cute and rested its fangs on my hand. It was very gentle, but it was a spider that was used to being handled.

Those are beautiful.  I love how the legs hang off the chain versus just making them a pendant.
