The outside is some fake leather I found at wal-mart, and the inside is flannel I had left over from making pajama pants. I used the tutorial on DeviantArt:

Now all I need is some goggles....

That is just too perfect - I was just saying that I wanted to make a Viking hat for my youngest - and add a few horns on it and viola I will have a super sweet play hat for the little man that he will just looooOOOoove!
Thanks for sharing your aviator hat - I have already saved and printed out the tutorial and can't wait to give it a whirl hopefully next week!  I'll definitely post up pics when I get it done!!
