giant stuffed carrot
«
on:
September 15, 2008 08:15:49 PM »
I knit and felted the body of the carrot as well as the light green leafs on top. The darker green leaves are acrylic felt that i embroidered and the brownish leaf is cotton material. I attached the leaves on the body and used an old t-shirt to make the knobby top of the carrot as well as the roots. I finished off with a little embroidering on the body of the carrot and chocked it full of poly-fil. this is my very first venture into embroidery, stuffed softy things and crafster. It stands over 5 feet tall. Hope you like it and I'd love some feedback!

This carrot rocks!
I love the combination of so many different materials, and the little roots at the bottom make it so much cooler. It looks so adorable in its carroty way, and so huggable too, especially since it's five feet long!

Um, I don't mean to sound rude, but why on earth did you make a 5 foot long crocheted felted carrot!?!?
When i saw the thumbnail I thought, well thats either a very small chair, or a very large carrot...
Its very beautiful, I like the different fabrics for the leafy top!

I have met carrot! Carrot is very friendly and bike rides (if Carrot has a little support around the greenies) and sitting in coffee shops, and hanging out on Bauhaus-style furniture. I verify the fact that Carrot is 5 feet long + a little.
Love you, Carrot. we'll get together and do some stitching VERY soon.
