I would LOVE to make this marc jacobs coat, I only wish I had the budget to have the real thing. I am going to have my mother help me make this coat but I would like to know if anyone knows of a pattern that I could use??? Thanks!!!

That coat is way cute.

I don't know of a specific pattern off the top of my head but it looks like a slightly modified peacoat. Finding a pattern for a peacoat and then adjusting it could be your best bet.

Good luck and post your pics!\

The collar is not really the same but the shape seems good for this one.

Same problem for the collar :

It's so funny b/c I got it into my head to make this same exact coat.  I almost did, and I was going to use several of the below patterns for a basis, so I don't have much to add there.

However, the biggest hint I can give you is to go look at this coat on the Neiman Marcus website.  you can zoom in to the front and get a much better idea how that center panel is really working.

I actually ended up choosing to make a different coat altogether, so Good Luck!  Can't wait to see how it turns out Smiley
