HOW IT WORKS:

The idea is to swap different bits of yarn (and ribbon and strips of fabric) out of your stash around to multiple people, and in the end we will all have enough to make Rapunzel scarves.

Here is a link to the famous Rapunzel Scarf:
http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=72581.0

The basic scarf is made from 30 pieces of ten foot yarn. (ribbons, strips of fabric, etc.)

To participate in this swap, you will need to send 6 pieces of ten-foot lengths of yarn (etc) to five partners. (Total = 30 pieces).

Remember to include your craftster user name in your swap package so that your partner knows who it's from.

Depending on the number of people who sign up, this number may need to be tweaked a bit, so please remain flexible on the matter. You may need to send a little more or less to make everything fair and even.

Depending on the number of participants, we may get to express a few preferences. (I will try to match up people with preferences, but it may not be possible)

This swap is a little different from other swaps in that you will be shipping to multiple partners. The good news is that your yarn (etc.) can fit in an envelope and will weight very little.

Because of multiple shipping addresses you will not need to get DC numbers. I do still highly encourage getting a DC number if possible, though I will still keep it as not being required for this swap (because depending on how you package the yarn, the package may be too light to get a DC number).  Note this is different from other swaps. However, a receipt from the post office is required. This will be the only way you can prove you shipped if anything goes wrong with the mail. If you cannot produce a scan or copy of this receipt if your package goes missing, you will get negative feedback.

If you want to participate, PM this questionnaire to the organizer:

QUESTIONNAIRE TO ANSWER:

This looks like a fun swap. I wonder if I could crochet instead of braid the scarf...? I am just learning to crochet and this would give me something more to do  Smiley

I'm not sure exactly how you would go about it, but you can try what you want to.  In one of the previous rounds someone didn't even braid it, just tied the yarns together at each end and it was super cute.

Just so people know, even though you may see online periodically during the day taking my brief "craftster breaks" at work, I will be approving people and adding them to the list when I get home from work.  Today is especially busy.  Off to work I go. Undecided Wink
