I just finished this laptop bag for my daughter today.  I got the fabric free from a specialty fabric house because it had been discontinued.  The handles are wide webbing that I turned under on each side and stitched down, then added fabric trim for reinforcement.  The front shows the pocket I included for her to hold her charger and cell phone.  Zipper goes part-way around the top edge to help facilitate retrieval of the laptop!  Now she can just grab and go when she needs to go to the local coffee house!

Gorgeous, I love the fabric.  It's so much nicer than my boring black leather laptop case.
