I don't know how formal your wedding is, but what about something like this? It doesn't quite have the S&M connotations.

Oooh..I like that one..I dont think the SM is going to have that "head in the gutter" effect as much as if you used the &. I really had no choice in order..As our initials are both S. Even worse the last initial is S too. So we could do SS..S&S..or SSS...Although I never thought until now that We probably could've just got away with a single S..lol..Oh well.

Here's another initial conundrum for you ladies... My boy's name is Cullen Anthony Tate, so his initials are CAT.  I'd really like to use the A, since I've always called him Anthony, but it seems silly to use CAT, haha.

It's more of an ongoing problem haha.  Anytime I want to use initials for anything it feels a bit silly.  But then we're a silly couple, so perhaps it works out!

Yeah, our initials are BJ also.  I am not doing a monogram. Maybe that's why? haha.

My fiance's name is Sam and mine is Melanie

I like monograms with just first initials but ours is S&M  Wink

I guess our married "couple's" monogram is sPm so thats ok but kinda reminds me of Spam. lol..ALTHOUGH i'm finding contradictory info on which initial is supposed to go first...some sites say the man, some say the woman and some say its up to you  Roll Eyes but what is correct? so would it be weird to do M&S or mPs? (my inital first)

What about S <3 M, (<3 represents a heart) is it still too much like S&M? Guess we don't need the "&" and could just do SM.

you could alway use the full names and last initial . ie. SAM P Mell

Same problem here.  We're Stacy and Mike.  However, I kind of like our initials for our last names: R & B.  Heh heh.

As someone who has grown up with the initials BS (not even a middle name to ease the pain!) I totally understand.  It has been my experience that when people see my initials they just roll their eyes, or giggle a bit.

As a point of interest, if you take into account the various boyfriends I've had, I could have been "Breakfast Television", "Body Odour", "Blackberry", and there was that one fellow with the last name starting with J...  Fun times.

As it stands, it looks like I might become "Burger King" instead... not too bad... and I'm thinking of making my current last name into my middle name, and just avoid the whole issue. lol

If it were me, I'd go with SM, in a really really fancy font. ^_^

Haha, I just realized the other day that I can never have one of those purses with my monogrammed initials.  It would be ATL when they do the thing with the last initial in the middle all big.  So I figure ok, once I get married to my love bubba I will have different initials.  Now the prob is that my initials would be ART on a monogram and ppl will think I'm an art person.  If I ended up marrying my ex-fiance our monogram could have been T&A lol.
