does anyone know if there was ever a tutorial on craftster (or another website) for making guitar strap covers? I'd like to make some for my brother for a present sometime out of some Jurassic Park and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles sheets I have.

Here's the new guitar strap for Hubby Dearest's new Martin. He got it yesterday and he's in heaven!!

Dree...SW Florida sure is nice this time of year.  You should come down and visit your brother.  Wait about a month though.  This week it's been in the chilly 60's.  YUP, we Floridians think that's mittens and hats weather.  Cheesy

BrandNewDay - I checked out your site you have posted.  You obviously sew 10 times better and faster than I do!  I also notice you go to a Cornerstone church.  My dad works at a Cornerstone University up here - kinda funny.  Your guitar strap looks sweet.  I'm going to ask for more directions from you when I get my machine up and running!!

Pretty much just some rings, some leather, a utility knife and two pairs of pliers. I used a leather punch also, to connect the rings to the leather.

The weave is the easiest one, called (Appropriately enough) 4 in 1.

No Problem!!!  I'd love to help!

Thanks for visiting our blog.  I try to update once a week or so.  The guitar and guitar strap photos will be up soon too.

FYI - Our Cornerstone church doesn't have a University.  Don't know were that is. Thought we might cross paths someday, but...

I was just wondering about this...my current sweetheart is a bluegrass musician and I really want to make him a strap.

I wonder if someone could post up the lenghth and width measurements of their favorite guitar straps.  That would be a good start.  I would sneak in his case and measure myself, but he lives in another state right now, so that'd be a bit of a long sneak! Roll Eyes

I have one, but I have never liked the length, so I don't want to model it after that, and I don't want to just add length randomly.

We have some lucky musician honeys!  Craftster girls rock!

The one in my pic is 58", and 3" wide. It's kinda low slung, but I'm 6', so plan accordingly! Smiley
