Okay, so this is my first ever post of some of my crafts! These were made over last summer, but I ended up loving to quilt and I was so proud of these. I have made several other quilts and a million pillows, but they were given as gifts. And in case you don't know, a quillow is a quilt with pouch on one side that you can fold the quilt into and make a pillow! It's totally nifty, and just for giggles, the pouch also works well to keep your feet warm.  Wink

Here is the front of the quillow I made for my brother:

And when you open it, here is the front:

Now, here is the front of my quillow:

(sorry, my bed kind of got in the way)

And here are some Nascar pillows I made for my dad:

Hope you liked them!! Feel free to leave feedback!!

Also, I just made my first dress (with a little help) and in the process of another, so when I get pictures of those, please be sure and check them out!!

These are really great!  I love quillows they are so warm and comfy. My brother and I had some quillows that a family friend made years ago. I would love to know how to make one to give to my brother for Christmas (his is coming apart at the seams and he is waaaay too tall for it now lol) Where did you find the pattern to make these? Again really nice work!

Actually, I didn't really use a pattern, a friend of my dad's let me use her big quilting machine (which was fun and hard at the same time) and she told me how to do a simple block pattern. I started out just doing the simple block pattern with a regular sewing machine, then on the side with the pouch I sewed in on in the middle at the bottom. then I laid both layers out on her massive machine, put cushioning in between and went to town with her big sewer! [[note to anyone learning to use one, always keep it moving!]] Then after that I just sewed the rim on. It was pretty easy, but still a lot of work.  I did both mine and his in one day, which was pretty awesome.....it probably took a good 9 hours of nonstop work.

At this local fabric store, I went to several but I think I got it at Hancock Fabric.
