eeks - another lelah -

there is a little bit of childish insolence in my piece here - in the summer my sometimes-critical grandma rained out my free-yarn-from-auntie parade by saying the yarn didn't look good enough to make much with. anyways, after being upset and sulky for a few hundred kms, i finally decided i would make something fab with it: my first knitted wearable. i am happy to be part of this wild group of knitters wearing lelahs. is lelah the gateway drug to the knitted garment world? i hope so.

here she is blocking and basking in the fall sun:

and here she is on, ready to party!

I did go to a party with her that night - I was a little proud. I regret underestimating my chest but it is mighty sexy (sorry grandma!)

I have a question about Lelah.

After row 6 where she says to knit one round, do you knit this round after every 6 rows of the lace pattern? I am new to lace, so forgive me if this is a dumb question.

Also, when I do my gauge swatch is that in stockinette?

Thanks for your help!

Connie
