My swap partner for the Kawaii Food swap asked for a pocket mirror so I made her this. It's a little bit too big to fit in your pocket, but it fits just nicely inside of a purse.

cute little polymer clay one eyed face

the face on this side is your own.

lol thats really cute. So did you bake the strawberry and the mirror frame separately and then glue the frame over the mirror after gluing the mirror on? I'm assuming you cant bake the mirror... or can you?!

I baked the clay right onto the mirror. I never even thought that you couldn't. I hope that I didn't ruin the mirro somehow and a few weeks from now the silver will shrivel up or something.

The only mirror that I could find that were the right size were pre-frosted so that's what the marks are that you see on the mirror.

Ver-r-y cute idea!...well done too.

(there's no problem at all in baking mirrors with clay at our temps, neither the glass nor metal parts... more info here on claying with mirrors and removing the silvering when necessary, baking precautions for large mirrors, etc.:
