My little sister is turning 14 in the beginning of October - when she grows up she wants to work for the FBI. So this year she wants a "spy party". I'm in charge, woot!

So far I have come up with:
Invitations: Cut the letters out of magazies (ransom note type of thing) but it will be "your mission should you choose to accept it"

Identity: In the invitation will be their cover identity and they will come in character

Activity: Scavenger hunt at the mall- we will send each group w/a digital camera to take pics w/ the items (ie, a bottle of shampoo that costs more than$10, a crying child, etc.)

The only thing I have thought of so far for the cake is an fbi badge but i want to do something cooler than that.

Do you guys have any ideas to help with this? Thanks!

You could play the game Operator with a bunch of walkie-talkies.  Divide up the kids into two groups and have the first two kids hide in closets or something.  Have one start the message with a pre-scripted directive, then have them pass their walkie-talkie off to another kid waiting outside and the second kid will tell the new kid the message, and so on.  Watch the new Get Smart movie or an episode of the old show (depending on how long you want the party to go) and every time Max says, "I meant to do that" (or something similar) have the first kid who notices grab a fake badge from the floor, then reward the one with the most badges at the end with a prize.  Play a joke version of the tray memory game with (for instance) a stick of gum, a shoe, a pen, a watch, a bowtie, an eye patch, etc., then when the kids "remember" what was on the tray, say, "I'm sorry, this may appear to be a stick of gum, but it's really a tiny explosive," or shoe/phone or pen/laser or watch/satellite image receiver or bowtie/gas releaser or eye patch/x-ray vision scope.  You get the picture.  Give out fake mustaches and Groucho glasses and wax lips and other disguises as favors.  You can serve virgin martinis (Sprite with a spritz of flavor syrup, shaken, not stirred.  And make the cake look like one thing, but disguise it as another.  For instance, cover it with spearmint leaves and put it in a salad bowl and tell the kids you're serving them "salad" instead of cake.  (That's the best idea I can come up with on a whim.)  Just think of every spy clich ever and go off of that.  Have fun!!
