This post is just to gather information about a possible future event that I might try to organize, based on interest.

I live in Danville, which is not that far from Greensboro, Raleigh, or even Richmond if you don't mind the drive. Danville right now is really lacking in events that cater to folks interested in diy businesses or culture.

What I would like to see is a market here held every couple of months, or twice a year, or however often we see fit, where artists, diy designers, zinesters, distros, etc. could set up tables & make some money while exposing folks in the southeast (Danville) to how vital small business & expression are to an area.

I believe the interest is there & with promotion we could bring folks in, it's a matter of finding an adequate # of vendors.

If you seriously think you might like to participate in such an event, please let me know.

Like I said, right now I'm in the info-gathering stage but I do have some ideas if it were to come to fruition.

It would be sometime between June & August depending on dates available at the venue.

I'd be interested. I live in Chesapeake, but would'nt mind the little road trip. Sounds like a great idea, I love the concept of doing it every few months, good for you trying to open everyone up to diy businesses/crafts in your area, I'm sure it'll be well recieved Smiley Keep me posted ! Or let me know if you need any help with advertising and whatnot Thanks ,
