whoops the "bone" needs to be shoved through his nose a bit. I should have put a little glue in there to hold it.

He was the first I made and also my favorite.

Head hunting is my favorite past time.  Wink

So, did you make him out of clay, or ... it looks like the end of a nylon stocking stuffed tight with stuffing and tied off.  I can't tell from the photo, though.  Either way, it's awesome, but if you DID use a nylon (geez, can you tell my mom used to call them that?) then that is a really cool idea.

And if not, then you still had a really cool idea, because it looks awesome!

I love the bone through the nose.  Creepy indeed!

Yep, he's a toe of a nylon. Then I stuffed him tight, tied it off, stitched the knot into the bottom and needle sculpted until I like the face. The eyes are safety eyes with a piece of nylon put over them and then tied around the post. I cut a slit in it and let it run naturally to get the creepy lidded effect. The bone through the nose is actually some weird plastic ring things I got in an estate sale lot. I just snipped it in half. I made the tooth out of air dry clay. I watered down some paint and grubbied him up a bit because I didn't like the look of just the nylon color.  Wink

Thanks!  The eye is a removable brooch, so The Platypus Project can wear it out on the town.   I loved it also and made another one for me Smiley  I can't wait until October, so I have an excuse to wear it all the time!
