This could go under crafting for good also since these aprons are part of a fundraising effort.  I made seven!

I used the pattern found here (scroll down):

I'm part of a tour of 9 kitchens, the one I'm at has a mexican theme...  we thought we would jazz it up with these fun aprons.

Looking for a vintage magazine (1974 - 1978) that has a fabric nativity set w/ people and animals. An example: http://www.craftster.org/pictures/showphoto.php?photo=440861&ppuser=143144.

Thank you all - I brought them to the house this afternoon and the team went wild!  They all put them on and started dancing!

whoop!   Grin

All signs point to a well attended event tomorrow - I'm really psyched.

Just so you know - I used a full fabric width for each ruffle - the pattern calls for 33 1/2 inch across 6 1/2 inches deep - but I used 45 or whatever it actually is.

For making massive amounts of gathering/ruffles - I zigzagged with a wide long stitch then ran a big darning needle with nylon thread up the inside, it took just a few seconds to do it that way, and no messing around with pulling threads that break

The event was a huge success, everyone had a great time and we made quite a satisfactory sum.

I got asked 10 times if the aprons were for sale....
