That's the coolest use of felt I've ever seen!  Thanks for the tutorial, I'm not so big on hand sewing, but these seem so easy, I'll have to try!

ive seen these around for lots of $ and always thought they were really really cute!!! I love these im so excited that people make them.... i will have to think about making one being my sewing skills are nonexistant..... but awesome job they look amazing

I think I figured out a way to make the piped icing.

1.  Cut out 3 felt ovals (I used white).

2.  Stack them on top of each other.  Sew a line down the centre lengthwise through all 3 ovals.  You now have one icing piece.

3.  Make a whole bunch more and sew them to the cake, but make sure you overlap the icing pieces as in the picture above.
