here is mine:

my "salute to spring" cake. The pansy is felt with some thread embrodery embellishments.
I need to re-do the cream puff. It looks a little sickly.

But my cake is really lumpy & concave. How do I get it to look more like a cake? And not curve in on the sides?

Aaw - all of your cakes are beautiful!  chibiwakki - your cream puff looks really well done.  djc114 - I love the pansies on yours - reminds me of when I was a child and I was allowed special things on my fairy cakes - it made me feel really grown up.

I'm going to see my oldest best friend of 10 years this weekend, and this is perfect as a little gift for her, so I'll see if I can whip one up in the next two days!

The pansy looks really cute!  It looks like you  need a lot more stuffing.  That will keep the sides from curving.

Yay - I made my cake - it took me about 3 hours, with TV watching, so I'm sure I could have gone faster.  Your tute was excellent - thanks!  All the little stitches add to it rather than detracting.

I used little seed beads as sprinkles.  I promise I will pst a pic, but my BF is the expert with the camera, so I'll smile sweetly at him!

Thanks for the tute!

I made some this weekend, using CD spindles as forms (for this topic:  http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=4027.msg271473#msg271473).

I'm going to tuck candies and a gift certificate in the tall one before giving it to a coworker.

PurpleHeather: Looking forward to your photo!  The seed beads sound like a nice touch!

ax174: Those cd spindle cakes are great!  Did you use a sewing machine?  What did your co-worker think of it?
