my first post - let's see how this works. Smiley

i made these personal pinatas for a few of the folks i work with. (nope, not in love with someone named jack... their initials are j, a, c, and k.) it was pretty easy - just two small balloons taped together to form a heart shape & then covered with tissue paper and watered down white glue. i left the bottom open to pop the balloons & stuff the heart with candy. then i covered the hole with more tissue paper & glue. it's hard to see, but i glued a piece of string along the inside top of the heart & left the tail hanging out on one side - so all they had to do was pull that string to open it up & get the goodies!

That is just too cool! I've seen normal balloon-shaped pinata's but I've never thought of heart-shaped ones! Awesome job!

What an excellent idea!  These would be so much fun for my kids to make for their teachers this coming Vday!

That is an AWESOME idea! These would be great for little kids, the whole destruction and non-hazardous thing. Unless you'd like to see an 8 year old whacking away blindly with a giant stick.

Oh c'mon, it's not a pinata if you don't wack it with a big stick. That being said I think this is a really cute idea. I might have to use it for valentines this year. And maybe make some sort of special stick to wack it with.
