We were actually on slug patrol every day to make sure they didn't get it all.  They think we are share cropping. Cheesy

that's what i was planning on as well (new home...huge clay rock solid)  what did you use for the boards and how tall are they?  I'm sooo excited to get started.. do you think if I got one going now I could plant some cold weather veggies...lettuce and such?

They are 18 inches high.  I just used 2x6 boards.

And it's never too late for gardening.  This is a good time to plant leaf vegetables like lettuce and brussels sprouts, and peas.  You can also prepare for planting some onions and garlic and let them winter over.  Good luck.
